Sophie turns 5!

Can you believe it? Sophie is 5!! She was so excited this year for her birthday! During the week we celebrated as a family with a cookie cake and presents from family. 

Then on Saturday, we had a party for Sophie's friends from church at Burger King. The kids played in the playpark thingy, ate cake and then Sophie opened presents. Call me lazy, but it was the perfect place to have a party with minimal cleanup. :) Sophie loved it!

Landon turns 1! :)

 Landon made a grab for the cake before we even had a chance to sing to him. Then we had to pull the cake away! (He's got that look on his face: What do you think you're doing?)

Snow :)

Sophie has been thrilled with the snow we have gotten recently. Here are her and Jason building a snowman after our first snow of the year. Sophie named the snowman Mr. Beek. It has since melted and we have a new round of snow on the ground now. 

Decorating for Christmas

Well, we were going to get a real tree at a tree farm, but ended up opting against it because we didn't want to have to haul Landon out in the cold. We decided we would wait until he can walk next year and then try to make it a family tradition to go to the tree farm. Anyways, so we used our trusty 6-foot-tall fake tree and it worked out just fine :) Sophie loved decorating it, and Landon has loved looking at the lights!
