This was at the Reptile Gardens.

Landon loved the turtles.

South Dakota- Part 1

Here's a few so far from our trip to South Dakota!

This is right before going into this place called Evans Plunge (it had a big pool, water slides and other activities)

Poor little guy was hot and exhausted.

A bunch of photos from last few months

I have been awful at posting on Facebook but not posting on here, and I realized the other day that my parents don't have access to Facebook, so I really need to add some photos on here!
In no particular order, here's some highlights from the last few months!

Love that these two do actually like each other most of the time :)

With summer comes car shows. Here's some highlights from our big Eddie Cochran Weekend car show (probably the largest one in Albert Lea). Jason won an award for his car, too!

We have this thing here in Albert Lea called the Blue Zones Project. It's a major health initiative that has gained us national and international attention. Here Sophie is at one of the events where we had a walk around town. I had to take pictures of it for the paper and brought the kids along.

Here's the kiddos at our annual Third of July Parade. There was a little bit of controversy at the parade this year, but that could be a whole separate post. (If you're interested check out

Pumpkin patch

Man, I was just realizing how long it has been since I last posted! Here's some pics from the pumpkin patch this year! Note how unhappy Landon was :(  Poor little guy sure has been through a lot. When we went he was just adjusting to his new medication and he had slept the whole way there.

The porch renovations!

Here's the porch before all of the renovations began. I failed to take a picture of the marvelous golf club wallpaper that was covering a majority of the walls. But you kind of get the idea.

Here's some from during the renovations. Had to remove all this lovely wallpaper

And the after shots:

(I still need to paint this shelf white)

(A big thanks to Dad who helped put in the chair rails and the wood trim)
