Garden update

Things are growing really well! Here's a few pics!


As you can see, the carrots, lettuce and green beans came up on the right! You can also see the watermelon is starting to grow on the mound behind them!

Here's our good friend Gina and new baby Hannah :) We're so excited the baby turned out to be a girl! Now Sophie can have another friend!

Eddie Cochran Weekend

Every summer in Albert Lea, there's one weekend out of the summer deemed as Eddie Cochran Weekend. For the past 23 years, the Eddie Cochran Days have included several car shows and other activities for classic car enthusiasts. At the end of the weekend, usually Saturday, there is a car social and 26-mile car cruise around Freeborn County for drivers who choose to participate.
After Jason had so much fun participating last year, he wanted to ride in it again this year. The following are some highlights:

These are roses from one of the rose bushes in our front yard! (Aren't they gorgeous, other than the bites in the leaves that we've been dealing with..)
Jason's been busting it up catching these enormous catfish! He's caught three or four huge ones now! This is one of the smaller ones but it's the only one we took a picture of!

The first summer classic car cruise

Tonight we went to the Southern Minnesota Old Car Co.'s first summer car cruise in Albert Lea. They're going to have them one Friday every month for the summer! There was a great turnout!
